Graduate Engineer - Wireless Telecommunications Infrastructure

Position Summary
We are recruiting graduate engineers from civil, electrical, and structural engineering disciplines to join our expanding wireless telecommunications division. This role offers exceptional opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects including 5G network deployment, small cell installations, macro site development, and network densification programs.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Development
Design and implement wireless telecommunications infrastructure including base stations, cell towers, rooftop installations, and distributed antenna systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from initial site surveys through to commissioning and optimization.
Site Engineering and Analysis
Conduct comprehensive site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for new installations. Perform structural analysis of existing buildings and towers to determine capacity for additional equipment loads and antenna systems.
Project Management and Coordination
Support project delivery from conception to completion, working closely with planning authorities, landlords, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety
Ensure all designs and installations comply with Ofcom regulations, building codes, health and safety requirements, and environmental standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures for all site activities.
Technical Documentation and Reporting
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.
Essential Requirements
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree (2:1 minimum) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. Strong academic performance in relevant modules including structural analysis, electrical systems, or construction technology.
Technical Competencies
Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD packages. Understanding of fundamental engineering principles including load calculations, structural mechanics, and electrical systems design. Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Professional Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and technical reporting. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
