Outline of role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing Building Services team. This is a hands-on role involving installation, maintenance, testing and inspection works across a range of retail, commercial and fit-out environments nationwide.
The successful candidate will be flexible, dependable and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship while working to project deadlines in fast-paced environments. Travel across the UK and working away from home will be required.
Main responsibilities
Carry out electrical installation works in commercial and retail premises in line with current regulations and company standards
Perform inspection, testing and fault-finding on electrical systems and installations
Complete maintenance and reactive repair work as required
Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with the latest regulations
Work collaboratively with site managers, subcontractors and other trades on-site
Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately
Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in good condition
Support project delivery through overtime, weekend and night working where required
Represent the company professionally when working on client sites nationwide
Knowledge and skills required
Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation, testing and fault diagnosis
Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong work ethic with a results-driven attitude
High level of drive, energy and commitment to quality standards
Good communication and relationship-building skills
Reliable, punctual and organised approach to work
Strong team player with a positive attitude
Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
Qualifications
Relevant electrotechnical qualifications in Electrical Installation
18th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations
City & Guilds 2391-10 or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent)
Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship
CSCS card preferred
Full UK driving licence preferred
