Overview
Compass Community School Willow Park is an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education to boys and girls from 6 to 17 years of age in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. Our children come from diverse backgrounds and have SEMH needs, often with additional SEND such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. Many have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences and may have social care involvement.
The work is varied and challenging; as a trauma- and attachment-informed organisation, all staff receive extensive therapeutic training and support. Our triangulated approach places the child at the centre of decision-making, ensuring collaboration between education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams and students to secure outstanding outcomes.
