Base Pay Range
Competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the mechanical design of automated and manual loading systems from concept to production.
* Oversee detailed design, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and CE standards.
* Mentor junior design engineers and embed best practices.
* Standardise and optimise designs through continuous improvement and value engineering.
* Provide technical support and analysis for root‑cause investigations and design improvements.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams globally to align projects with company strategy.
* Support the implementation of DriveWorks and structured design systems.
What You’ll Bring
* Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within manufacturing, automation, or industrial machinery.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a creative, solutions‑focused approach.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor and influence others.
* Commitment to environmental and safety standards.
* Desirable: Experience with DriveWorks or similar design automation tools.
Working Arrangements
* Location: Liverpool (onsite collaboration expected).
* Hours: Full‑time, permanent role.
