I am seeking a caring, reliable individual to provide weekend support for my elderly mother (81) living with me at home in a private annexe. This is a part-time role combining personal care with light household support, ideal for someone looking for steady weekend work in a rural village home.
Hours:
Saturday 08:00 - 10:00 - 2 hours at £17.50 per hour
Sunday 08:00 - 10:00 - 2 hours at £20.00 per hour
= £75.00 for the weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with her morning routine - assisting with waking, dressing and mobility
- Prepare light breakfast and ensure comfort
- Collect morning newspaper from local village shop
Household support:
- Light housework - tidying, dusting, sometimes hoovering crumbs
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Take pet dog for a little walk up the lane
- Observe and report any concerns about wellbeing
What I am Looking For
Previous experience in care or domestic support (formal or informal) an advantage.
Kind, patient and respectful manner. Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
Reliable and punctual. Comfortable working independently on a 1-1

About us:
I am a work-from-home person living in Buxton, which is between Aylsham and Coltishall. This role is for my mother, she lives in my annexe. I am seeking a support carer to enable her to stay here, in her own home. And to support the other daily carers. Mother has Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia and is needing light prompting and general support. I will be onsite at all times to assist if required.
I hope you like animals - on site I have goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens and cows as you enter the estate. My home is very rural and 'off the beaten track' - ideally you would have your own transport. If you are looking for a friendly peaceful work environment with very little stress, then please apply.
