Job Title: Payroll Specialist Salary: £37,000 Working Structure: Office based to begin with - 3 days at home once on boarded Location: Tewkesbury Key Responsibilities Manage and process full-cycle monthly payrolls using Workday. Coordinate data integration between Time & Attendance systems and Workday for overtime and travel time. Update and monitor benefits platforms for changes and auto-enrolment compliance. Reconcile payroll data, prepare HMRC RTI submissions, and ensure regulatory compliance. Handle statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SAP, etc.), P45s, and new starter documentation. Prepare analytical payroll reports for Finance and HR teams. Upload monthly BACs files and third-party payments using relevant software. Respond to employee payroll queries with professionalism and empathy. Participate in payroll projects and contribute to process improvements. Travel to UK sites periodically (every 1–2 months) to provide on-site support. Ideal Candidate Profile Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, ideally within a mid-sized business environment. Proficient in Workday, BACs processing, and Time & Attendance systems. Strong IT and numerical skills, particularly in Excel and Word, with a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Full driving license and willing to travel occasionally. Organised, methodical, and confident navigating online platforms.
