Roles and responsibilities
Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager
Ensure that site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements
Implement and maintain company’s Safety Management System
Undertake site inspections / audits and report findings to the project EHS Manager
Identifying training needs, and report requirements to the project EHS Manager
Deliver Health and Safety Inductions, and weekly Toolbox Talks
Organising and chairing Safety Meetings
Review sub-contractors Method Statements / Risk Assessments and assist where required
Assist with accident / incident investigation reports
Submit weekly reports
Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately
Advising and assisting the site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action
Requirements
Recognised EHS Qualification (NEBOSH or similar)
4+ years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence safety
Must be local to Oxford
Conditions
Negotiable hourly pay rate
Estimated 50 hours per week
