Overview
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a full-time substantive Consultant Psychiatrist. This post is based on the Early Intervention Model in Rochdale and is a Community post.
Responsibilities
* To provide consultant psychiatric input to a high functioning community EIS as part of a multi-disciplinary service. The role is to provide a comprehensive assessment and NICE concordant treatment package of care to all patients.
* To provide high-quality Mental Health Care for adults following the EIS frameworks.
* To work closely with other teams and Consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (Rochdale borough) area.
* To work with the MDT to support the development of the service, and to attend local and divisional service development meetings.
* The Consultants contribute to local service user & carer groups.
Details
The post holder will be based at the Outpatients department Birch Hill Hospital Rochdale. Rochdale operates an Inpatient–Outpatient model (New Ways of Working) and is staffed by 9 full-time Consultants in Adult Psychiatry and Old Age Psychiatry, and a nurse consultant on the female adult ward. Each Consultant Psychiatrist is allocated a Junior Doctor (NW Deanery training schemes) to work with them.
Qualifications
* Applicants must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion or be within six months of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry at the time of interview for the post.
Conditions
Low frequency on-call (1 in 31) with full second tier on call and 1 day off after your on call.
