Join Our Team as a Core Subject SEN/SEND Tutor!

Exciting opportunities are available now in Shropshire, and we’re continuously hiring to meet the diverse needs of our students.

At Targeted Provision, we are on a mission to revolutionize the educational experience for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. We are dedicated to supporting children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

We are seeking passionate SEN/SEND tutors who are eager to make a real difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. If you’re ready to transform educational journeys, we want to hear from you!

As part of our team, you will be supported by our dedicated SEN/SEND Support Specialists, ensuring that you have the resources and guidance needed to succeed in every placement.

Your Role as an SEN/SEND Tutor:

* Provide engaging tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other educational needs.
* Support students referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journeys.
* Deliver flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.


Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and prepare each tutoring session tailored to the individual needs of the student.
* Deliver engaging sessions that promote both educational and social-emotional growth.
* Complete lesson reports and provide constructive feedback on student progress.


What We’re Looking For:

* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS).
* A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional educational needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
* Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed).
* Two professional references.
* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments.

It is essential that you promote the health, safety, and well-being of children and young people while adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.


Employment Details:

* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term assignments as they arise.
* You will work under a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE.
* We do not guarantee a set amount of work or expenses coverage.
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us.
* This is not a self-employed tutoring position.
