We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Hinckley Coventry Road.
You will work as part of our nurse team to utilize all your nursing skills—surgical and medical nursing—and conduct nurse clinics alongside our vets. We have a long-standing and friendly client base that appreciates the personal service we provide. You will be part of a fully supportive team dedicated to their clients and patients.
Hinckley Coventry Road works closely with East Midlands Dog Rescue Centre and is well-equipped with digital x-ray, portable ultrasound, and is a cat-friendly clinic.
Hinckley is a pleasant market town surrounded by beautiful countryside in southwest Leicestershire, situated midway between Leicester and Coventry with excellent motorway links. Birmingham Airport is just 40 minutes away. The town centre offers a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, and nightlife.
This role is full-time, working 40 hours per week with a 1 in 6 weekend rota.

Role Accountabilities

In this role, you will:
* Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
* Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
* Carry out nurse-led appointments and schedule related activities.
* Provide patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
* Handle patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Maintain professional standards in compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational requirements.
* Hold briefings to coordinate team efforts and support effective practice operations.
Your Skills and Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
* Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Experience supporting nurse consultations, understanding their contribution to practice performance.
* Strong coaching and influencing skills to motivate colleagues.
