We have a great opportunity for a talented and motivatedSolicitor (3+ years PQE / Associate or Senior Associate level)with experience inData Privacy and DataProtectionto join our client, a highly respectedand award winning national law firmin the UK.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic disputes team, contributing significantly to the practice bymanaging a diverse range of disputes including data breaches, GDPR non-compliance, privacy infringements, and information rights, representing clients in both litigation and advisory roles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage litigation and disputes relating to data protection and privacy laws, including cases of GDPR, DPA 2018 infringements.
* Represent clients in legal proceedings stemming from data breaches, including liaising with regulatory bodies and managing enforcement actions.
* Advise on dispute avoidance strategies and ensure compliance with the latest developments in data protection regulations.
* Draft and review legal documents pertinent to information law disputes, ensuring robust defence strategies for our clients.
* Collaborate across our national teams to develop and share expertise on emerging trends and legal developments in data protection and information law.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor in England and Waleswith at least3years of experience.
* Demonstrable experience indata protection and information law disputes.
* Experience in managing complex litigation related to data breaches and privacy law infringements.
* In-depth understanding of GDPR, DPA 2018, Information Commissioner Office (ICO), Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (EC Directive)and associated regulatory frameworks and laws.
* Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and client management skills, with the capacity to effectively plan and organise.
Hybrid working offered - office locations could be London, Birmingham, Manchester, Oxford or Cambridge.
