We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 in our alternative education provision in King's Lynn.
You will work with a maximum of 8 students per class on a 1:4 ratio, supported by a teaching assistant in every lesson.
This setup enables you to form closer and more positive relationships through marking, assessment, and feedback. Many of these students work at a lower level due to missed education. You will be teaching students with emotional and behavioural difficulties in small groups, requiring flexibility, sensitivity, patience, and resilience. An ability to engage all students with creativity and passion towards the subject is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Create an inspirational learning environment with high expectations of learner achievement, success, and progression.
Plan, produce, and update schemes of work to meet curriculum, inspection, and accreditation requirements, ensuring compliance with current guidelines.
Develop learning resources and routes that meet learner needs and commissioner requirements.
Prepare lessons for off-site students for support staff to deliver.
Support and guide learners to reflect on their learning, identify progress, and set positive targets for improvement.
