Here, you’ll enjoy a competitive base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable) and the potential to earn up to £57,000 with on-target earnings!
Your Role Awaits
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll work a structured 40-hour week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Forget about emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts; you’ll have a clear schedule of pre-booked jobs, allowing you to focus on delivering quality work.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be part of the Wembley cluster, covering areas like Wembley, Harrow, Stanmore, Edgware, Kingsbury, and more. Enjoy the freedom of being out on the road in your local area, tackling a well-organized list of appointments.
What to Expect
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, and each job is pre-booked with the member expecting you. You’ll carry out:
* Routine servicing
* Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
* In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
* Member advice and recommendations based on your inspections
* Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have everything you need from day one: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics. Use your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to get people moving safely and confidently!

What You’ll Need
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
