Your new company: Hays is delighted to be working with an outstanding Top 10 Global practice based in Belfast city centre, seeking a Corporate Tax Manager/Associate Director to join their ambitious team.
As a Manager/Associate Director, you should demonstrate deep technical knowledge in your area and apply this to develop solutions for complex issues, while managing and leading a team in demanding assignments. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious candidates to progress within the firm.
Your new role
1. Manage portfolios of sizable clients, providing solutions to complex tax issues reactively and proactively, and presenting solutions to technical challenges.
2. Lead the Corporation Tax compliance offerings to large UK corporates, including multinational groups.
3. Understand tax issues affecting large corporates, such as corporate interest restriction, Country-by-Country reporting, and SAO.
4. Manage the financial operations of the team and meet financial targets.
5. Own client relationships, understanding their business needs.
6. Participate in tendering for new clients, developing tailored proposals.
7. Consult on technical areas, assessing risks and providing support.
8. Communicate high-quality tax deliverables tailored to client needs.
9. Adhere to the firm's risk management processes.
10. Lead, motivate, and coach team members, providing feedback and conducting appraisals.
11. Seek opportunities for personal and team development through diverse assignments.
12. Contribute to business development, including sales pitches and service promotion.
Skills and attributes
* ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualification with PQE in corporate tax within a large practice.
* Strong technical knowledge of tax issues affecting large corporates.
* Approachable, proactive, and team-oriented.
* Self-motivated with responsibility and ownership skills.
* Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
