Electrical Installation Tutor
Location: Leeds
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications; higher banding available for those with assessing credentials)
Contract Type: Permanent - Full-time (37 hours per week)
Start Date: September 2025 or earlier
Are you a qualified electrician with a teaching qualification and a passion for developing the next generation of tradespeople? A respected training provider in Leeds is seeking an experienced and engaging Electrical Tutor to join their delivery team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong trade background to bring their real-world knowledge into the classroom - ideal for individuals already in education or ready to make the leap from site to teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and assess Electrical Installation qualifications (Level 1 to Level 3)
2. Provide both practical and theory-based lessons to a diverse cohort of learners
3. Track and support learner progress in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements
4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
5. Contribute to continuous curriculum and delivery improvements
Essential Criteria:
* Must be a qualified electrician with experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings
* Hold a teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent)
* Ideally have 5 years' on-site electrical experience (flexibility considered for the right candidate)
* 18th Edition and 2391 (Inspection & Testing) qualifications highly desirable
* Candidates with an assessing qualification (e.g., A1 or TAQA) will be eligible for the top end of the salary banding
