Zest Optical is working with a high-quality independent Optician in Brightlingsea, Essex to recruit an Optometrist for a 4 or 5 day role.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established practice where the focus is firmly on patient care, clinical freedom, and a relaxed working environment.
Role
* Independent Optician with a long‑standing reputation in Brightlingsea
* 4 or 5 days per week, including most Saturdays
* 50 minute sight tests, allowing time for thorough patient care
* Pre‑screening completed by the Optometrist team
* OCT and Icare tonometer available
* No sales targets or pressure to convert
* Supportive, experienced team including fully qualified Dispensing Opticians
* Professional, patient‑focused environment
* Opportunity to build strong relationships with a loyal patient base
Salary & Benefits
* Salary from 55,000 to 65,000 DOE
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Professional fees paid
* No Sundays or bank holidays
* Closed over the Christmas period
* Support with further development and training
Requirements
* Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
* Comfortable working in an independent setting
* Focused on delivering high levels of patient care
* Enjoys working as part of a close‑knit team
