Deliver infrastructure projects inside a major UK operational port environment. This is a client-side role, managing contractors and delivering a diverse portfolio of civil and infrastructure works across a live operational estate. One week you may be overseeing a pavement repair or drainage scheme. The next, you could be involved in elements of a £50m container terminal upgrade, heavy-duty quayside infrastructure, conveyor installations or marine structures. If you enjoy project variety, autonomy and complex infrastructure environments, this role offers exposure to projects of all sizes within a strategically important UK logistics hub. The Job Role & Responsibilities You will support the delivery of multiple concurrent civil and infrastructure projects across the estate, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification. Managing projects from concept through to completion Preparing technical specifications and tender documentation Procuring and managing framework contractors Monitoring project budgets, valuations and variations Coordinating internal operational stakeholders Ensuring CDM 2015 compliance and reviewing Construction Phase Plans Inspecting works on site and maintaining project documentation Supporting design modifications using AutoCAD Balancing reactive works alongside planned capital schemes Typical Projects Projects vary significantly in scale and complexity and may include: Heavy-duty pavement and surfacing works Port and marine infrastructure upgrades Conveyor installations and logistics infrastructure Structural repairs and operational facility improvements Capital works programmes across the wider estate The ideal candidate will have experience delivering civil or infrastructure projects within an operational environment: Ports / marine infrastructure, Airports or logistics hubs, Local authority capital works, Highways infrastructure, Utilities infrastructure, Rail infrastructure, Industrial estates or operational facilities Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Experience managing contractors rather than direct labour Exposure to procurement, tendering and contract administration Budget and programme management experience Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects Degree in Civil Engineering or HNC/HND with relevant experience Pay & Benefits Basic salary of up to £48,000 per annum 35 days holiday Solid pension, health care schemes and wellbeing initiatives Exceptional project variety across a major operational port Exposure to large-scale infrastructure upgrades Client-side role with real project ownership Long-term career development within a major infrastructure asset
