The Complex Emotional Needs team is delighted to be advertising a Specialist Practitioner post in North Cumbria.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic clinician with suitable leadership and experience, who is motivated to join the team. The team works with a caseload of hard‑to‑reach, multi‑agency service users who present with high risks mainly to self.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide clinical expertise to a range of complex presentations including personality disorder and complex post‑traumatic stress disorder. The postholder will provide supervision and case management across a range of agencies and services.
The postholder will liaise and communicate effectively with partner agencies, act as a role model to support/guide the team, deliver high‑quality standards of care, and be responsive to service demands, supporting the team with complex and challenging situations.
The postholder will demonstrate excellent older‑adult mental health and safeguarding knowledge base, robust assessment and risk‑management skills, and provide clinical advice and supervision (both individual and group), contributing to individual appraisals.
The postholder will provide in‑house training to the team and wider services when needed, embed clinical standards, lead/support and contribute to monitoring the team’s clinical performance via clinical audits, and work with the Team Manager to support actions that improve service quality and outcomes.
The postholder will require excellent organisational, time‑management and delegation skills to work in an area of changing priorities.
