The Bury Mental Health Support Team (MHST) began mobilising in September 2022 and is now operational across 34 education settings. We offer a supportive working environment, wellbeing pledges, daily check‑ins and managerial drop‑ins.

Our team is committed to wellbeing and was runner‑up for Team of the Year at the 2024 Pennine Care Awards. We provide a safe, non‑judgemental space for staff and deliver outcome‑focused, evidence‑based interventions in educational settings.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver evidence‑based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
* Support children, young people, parents/carers, families and educators in self‑management of presenting difficulties.
* Develop treatment plans and agree outcome measures with service users and partner professionals.
* Work in collaboration with children, young people and parents/carers to formulate agreed treatment plans.
* Contribute to community and inpatient mental health and learning disability services across Greater Manchester.
Qualifications
* Successfully completed the HEE‑commissioned one‑year ‘Education Mental Health Practitioner’ course.
* Experience working in an educational setting is desirable.
