Salary and Benefits

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting department by managing various financial tasks and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This position would be perfect for an individual looking to develop their skills in accounting, finance and further business activities within a dynamic environment.
Duties will include
Emailing monthly statements
Daily raising & emailing of sales invoices
Generating daily sales reports
Processing purchase invoices
Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts
Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts
Managing bi-weekly supplier payment schedules/runs
Recovering outstanding balances
Processing weekly bonus sheets, overtime, and hours
Maintaining the holiday planner
Submitting weekly agency staff hours
Processing monthly payroll
Handling monthly pensions
Raising HMRC payments
Reconciling monthly import VAT
Maintaining fixed asset register (FAR), prepayments, and accruals schedules
Processing journals
Preparing monthly management accounts
Generating monthly balance sheets
Creating monthly intercompany reports
Reconciling intercompany loans
Managing credit card and expense reconciliations
Processing intercompany recharges
Reconciling monthly import goods received
Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
Qualifications and experience
Previous experience in an accounts assistant role or similar position is preferred.
AAT Qualifications are preferred but not essential
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is highly desirable.
Experience within Excel
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a willingness to learn and adapt.
