Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst is to assist in ensuring that reporting is accurate and timely, along with managing the statutory and accounting processes for Spin Master International B.V.The candidate will be a key contributor to the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting, forecast planning processes, working with the businesses unit leaders to enable an understanding of local financial performance and developing consistent, concise forecasts and plans, and monthly variance reporting at a cost center level.
How will you create impact?
1. Month end journal preparation for general ledger and balance sheet reviews (excluding accounts receivable, accounts payable);
2. Prepare monthly management accounts and prepare and review analysis files to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial and management reporting;
3. Review month end PL market reporting and sales reports to be supplied to the sales team and management team;
4. Hold regular cost center reviews with the business unit leaders, and work with them to maintain departmental operational costs within budget, especially marketing and sales accruals;
5. Assist on the budget/forecast submission and by preparation of the overhead budgets, working with the business unit leaders;
6. Prepare the month end reports (GA overhead focus) and comment on performance against objectives;
7. Preparation of the monthly cash flow forecasts, including variance analyses to previous submissions;
8. Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis, and review with the Finance Manager;
9. Assist with preparation of Statutory Accounts and compliance with local GAAP;
10. Identify and work with the finance manager and other finance team members to improve processes to deliver a more efficient and effective financial reporting and analysis;
11. Business partnering, supporting local management teams in understanding their financial data and performance, including the preparation of ad hoc reports for various members of the management teams;
12. Liaise with external tax advisers and auditors in regard to the annual statutory requirements;
13. Prepare quarterly royalty statements for review;
14. Assist in supporting Finance Team requests, ad-hoc analysis, and any local/IT projects as required.
What are your skills and experience?
15. Part-qualified accountant with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in the FMCG industry
16. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required
17. Experience working with SAP and Business Intelligence is desired
18. An understanding of technical IFRS accounting
19. Fluency in English, written and spoken
20. Ability to work independently, being highly self-motivated
21. Strong organizational skills
