Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a
Graduate Electrical & Electronics Engineer
, you will support the
protection
and
resilience
of
critical plant systems
within the
energy and utilities sector
. Working
onsite
at a key Energy Utility customer in the North West of England and your role will focus on
OT systems
and
cybersecurity
. You will help
manage and maintain configuration control
,
technical documentation
,
asset registers
, and
cyber security processes
that support secure plant operation.
This opportunity is ideal for
recent engineering graduates

ex-service personnel
eager to transition into the
highly regulated
and
safety-critical
world of
industrial control systems
.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Support the
maintenance
and
security
of
OT systems
and
networks
, including
configuration control
,
asset tracking
, and
cyber security resilience
.
* Act as a
technical point of contact
for
OT security-related activities
, assisting
PCSS Practitioners
and
Portable Computing Device Assessors
.
* Maintain and update key documentation:
plant network diagrams
,
OT asset registers
,
security operating procedures
,
software libraries
, and
cyber incident response protocols
.
* Assist in applying
cyber security frameworks
(e.g.
IEC 62443
,
NIST
) to support
OT system design
and
operations
.
* Liaise with
plant engineering
and
security teams
to ensure
compliance
with
safety and security regulations
.
* Contribute to
continuous improvement
of the OT systems and share feedback with internal and client teams.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* A
BSc/BEng
in
Electronic Engineering
,
Instrumentation & Control
,
Process Engineering
, or
Embedded Systems
(or equivalent discipline).
* Knowledge of
OT systems
or
industrial instrumentation & control
lifecycles
(design, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning).
* Awareness of
configuration management
and
cybersecurity principles
in OT environments.
* Must hold a
UK driving license
and have been a
UK resident for at least the past 5 years
.
* Eligible for
security clearance
(or already cleared).
Desirable Skills:
* Up to
2 years' experience
in supporting
OT/ICS systems
,
cyber security
, or
engineering project environments
.
* Familiarity with
industry standards
(
IEC 62443
,
IEC 61508
,
NIST Cyber Security Framework
).
* Understanding of
fault resilience
,
system reliability
, and
lifecycle management
.
* Awareness of working within
safety-critical

regulated industries
(e.g.
energy

nuclear

utilities
