Learning Support Assistant – PRU Secondary School, Fazakerley A PRU secondary school in Fazakerley is seeking a committed and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated team. Role and Responsibilities The Learning Support Assistant will play a key role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities include: Delivering one-to-one and small group support within the classroom. Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons. Identifying and addressing barriers to learning through tailored interventions. Working closely with teachers and staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Supporting students in developing social skills and building confidence. Qualifications and Skills Previous experience as an LSA or in a similar role is desirable. A genuine passion for supporting young people and improving educational outcomes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability in challenging situations. A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving. Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have faced difficulties in mainstream education. They should demonstrate resilience, patience, and a genuine interest in guiding and supporting students to achieve their best.
