Copello is supporting the recruitment of a Senior Product Test Development Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team within a highly regulated, advanced technology environment.

The Role
As a Senior Product Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and through-life support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level.
You will work on complex electronic systems deployed across a range of demanding applications, contributing to technically challenging and safety-critical programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
* Lead and support hardware/software integration and fault diagnosis
* Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
* Work collaboratively across engineering disciplines to deliver scalable test solutions
* Lead design reviews and produce high-quality technical documentation
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Required Experience
* Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
* Ability to produce detailed technical design documentation
* Experience transferring designs into production environments
* Excellent hardware fault-finding and debugging skills
* Test software development experience
* Experience supporting and debugging system integration
* Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (minimum BPSS, ideally SC)
Desirable Experience
* Significant industry experience in test development
* Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
* Knowledge of common test architectures (e.g., PXI/LXI)
* Understanding of measurement uncertainty and its application in test equipment validation
* Experience with LabVIEW, CVI, TestStand, C# or similar software tools
* Mixed-signal circuit design
* High-speed serial networks
* RF electronics knowledge
* Power supply design experience
