You need to be hungry for sales, new business, know coffee and equipment.

Position: Business Development Manager

Location: Field-based with office visits. Must live in the Greater Manchester area.

Job Type: Full time, Permanent. Monday to Friday

Salary: Between £37, £40, Car Allowance/Company vehicle + uncapped sales bonus

Benefits:  28 days annual leave including statutory days; company car/allowance; private pension.

Purpose of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Worker Bee Tea & Coffee for the position of Territory Sales Manager, covering Greater Manchester with some outlying areas. In your new role, you will be responsible for bringing on new customers, key account management, training and developing of the existing customer base through first class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage an agreed call cycle over 4 weeks achieving 30 customer visits per week plus additional prospect visits per week.
* Administration of customer accounts
* Follow a structured approach to the sales process (including full equipment and coffee audit).
* Manage all customer interaction in the field including business development, coffee quality, training, machine movements, administration, and all aspects of outstanding sales support.
* Identify sales opportunities to improve customer profitability.
* Develop a prospect growth plan with projected value, numbers, and timeframe.
* Make effective use of all marketing support materials.
* Maintain current records for all accounts.
* Respond to and deal with any customer issues within 24 hours where possible.
* Able to work with and support colleagues where needed both in the field and office.

Experience

To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar role with a history of successfully meeting sales targets and especially winning new business. You must also hold a full and valid UK driving licence.

Skills / Knowledge

You will be educated to A level or equivalent. You will be competent in all Microsoft Office packages (especially Word and Excel). You will have a high level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail. You can show you have worked with CRM systems and the importance of route planning.
