A day in the life of a Murphy Data Analyst:
1. Work closely with business reporting stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements and acquire and present relevant datasets.
2. Handle large and complex datasets from Primavera P6, SAP SuccessFactors, and other key construction systems.
3. Verify the integrity of extracted data.
4. Support embedding and applying revised Data Governance and Information Security standards and best practices.
5. Apply Murphy best practices to code management, documentation, and release.
6. Establish good working practices for project delivery.
7. Work as part of the Planning and Project Controls Function, alongside the Resource Management Team.
8. Allocate project work as required during project duration.
9. Liaise with planners, operational staff, and other technical staff.
10. Assist in designing maintenance procedures and implementing them.
11. Provide user training, support, and feedback.
12. Build effective relationships with stakeholders.
13. Support and guide team members.
14. Attend sites to assist remote application users as needed.
15. Perform ad hoc activities as assigned by the Head of Planning.
16. Design and develop applications and workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline data processes.
17. Debug, test, and troubleshoot systems and applications.
Ideal candidate profile:
* Experience with Primavera P6, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
* Skilled in connecting disparate data sources like Dataverse, SharePoint, and P6.
* Proficient in writing and maintaining Python scripts for data processing, API integration, and workflow automation.
* Ability to integrate Python processes with Power Platform solutions.
* Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
* Knowledge of ETL, data ingestion, and API usage.
* Solutions architecture skills.
* Understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
* Experience in construction or civil engineering processes and applications.
* Willingness to travel nationwide across Murphy projects.
