Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some commercial insurance experience to develop their career. You may be currently working as a Client Advisor / Account Handler / CSE or similar within a regional or larger broker or alternatively be working as an Underwriter and looking for a change of direction. As a Junior Project Broker, you will work closely with the placement teams who are responsible for the programme design and placement of a range of industry sectors into the Regional, London and international insurance markets. We will offer you a bespoke development plan and the opportunity to work with our clients based in both Wales & West & Reading. You will be joining an, experienced, successful, vibrant and diverse team.
The Role:
* Attend and participate in insurer meetings that will allow you to understand state of the Regional, London and International insurance markets.
* Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placements with the insurance market
* Create and grow relationships with underwriters in the Regional and London markets
* Identify appropriate markets and determine placing strategy
* Assist in preparing insightful client and prospect market presentations
* Collaborate with technical wordings and service teams to understand and articulate technical reviews and programme design
* Develop an understanding of the WTW analytical tools and use them to help structure an insurance programme.
* Ability to adapt quickly and easily to changing workload conditions and requirements
* Understand a client or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems and key issues
* Understand and ensure ongoing compliance with Willis Towers Watson guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications
The Requirements:
•Some commercial insurance experience
• ACII qualified or able to work towards this qualification
• A knowledge of the insurance market in order to address client and technical issues
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A motivated self-starter with a clear ability to use initiative when required
• Good presentation abilities
• Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly
• Good negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
• Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure
• Good IT skills with excellent Excel usage capability
