As the process commissioning manager within the JM Commissioning Team reporting to the commissioning director, supporting a FEED / EPC Contractor from issue for design phase to commissioning for 3CR. As part of the commissioning team the incumbent will be responsible for a team of process commissioning system engineers, the management of process commissioning activities, systemisation, development and validation of commissioning procedures. Participate and provide input for all planning coordination, scheduling, safety, and progress review meetings. Typical duties will include leading systemisation of the plant with the support of technical experts, creation of commissioning documentation and check sheets for assigned systems, managing the delivery of the standard operating procedures, managing training packages for new process engineers and carry out commissioning and start up activities with process and operations teams.

Your responsibilities:
1. Define the systemisation and the approach of the process for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Obtain agreement/ buy-in from all disciplines within the commissioning team.
2. Input the co-ordination from the process team, collation and indexing of project and commissioning handover documentation for the operation and maintenance of equipment, piping and instrumentation.
3. Generate commissioning documentation for assigned systems, this includes but is not limited to IQ/OQ/PQ test protocols, IQ/OQ/PQ Completion Certificates, Punch List Register and check sheets for Equipment, piping, instrumentation, and control systems. (IQ Installation qualification, OQ Operational Qualification, PQ Process Qualification).
4. Coordinate the creation of SOP and Training Packages for assigned systems.
5. Lead the co-ordination of the commissioning activities, monitor process parameters and specifications for all operational processes. Troubleshoot issues and recommend process changes as a result of learns through the commissioning process to ensure operations are designed optimally.
6. Lead and participate in the escalation of key issues, presenting problem statements and documentation, as well as appropriate proposals for resolution and progress.
7. Plan and coordinate process engineering resource through IQ/OQ/PQ.
8. Participate in all co-ordination, scheduling, safety and progress review meetings.
9. Administer and support the management of change process for impacted areas of the new plant design.
10. Assist as required in the instrumentation, electrical and control system checks.
11. Assist as required in the equipment and piping checks.
Requirements for the role:
12. Educated to degree level in Chemical Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience – Essential.
13. Experience (5 to 10 years) in Process commissioning – Essential.
14. Confidence to lead a technical team, challenge / make process decisions and to approve designs – Essential.
15. Experience of structured problem-solving tools and techniques (e.g. RCA, 5 why’s) - Essential .
16. Ability to build strategic, cross-functional working relationships – Essential.
17. Knowledge and operating experience of typical unit operations such as precipitation, filtration, effluent treatment, solids handling and thermal processes – Essential.
