Job Description
We are retained to manage the search for an experienced Finance Director for a medium sized business.
This is a role for a qualified Finance Director, for a number 1 in finance seat, that enjoys transformation and implementing change and process that enables growth and scalability.
We are looking for a strategic finance leader that has experienced turnaround and will modernise financial operations and infrastructure to support rapid business growth. This role will combines high level financial leadership with change management to ensure the finance function is efficient, scalable and aligned with the overall business strategy.
Key responsibilities:
* Partner with the CEO and other senior stakeholders to embed financial discipline across all transformation and growth initiatives.
* Cash Flow optimisation, cost control and operational efficiency
* Translate financial insights into strategic recommendations to support investment decisions, and market expansion
* Provide end to end governance for change programmes, managing budget, timelines and objectives, this would include the implementation of a new ERP system to drive efficiency and data accuracy
* Design and implement robust, scalable financial systems, processes and controls that can grow with the business. Identify and automate transactional areas of finance
* Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and long term financial modelling to provide forward looking insights to senior leadership and investors.
* Ensure the business complies with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements, implementing strong internal controls to mitigate risk
* Build, mentor and develop a high performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Key experience:
* Extensive experience as a senior finance leader with a proven track record in leading and delivering
* Expertise in finance systems, financial modelling and data analysis
* Highly competent in ensuring all financial reports are accurate and timely, overseeing audit processes and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Key skills:
* Holds a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
* Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change
* A strategic mindset with a hands on, proactive approach to problem solving
* Excellent communication both written and verbal
