The Job
The People Operations Advisor plays a pivotal role in delivering a seamless people experience by combining operational excellence with continuous improvement. Acting as a key member of the People team, this role provides trusted HR support across the employee lifecycle and takes ownership of developing and optimising the HRIS to ensure accurate data, efficient processes, and meaningful insights. As the lead for payroll, benefits and general people administration, the role ensures these critical services run smoothly, accurately and compliantly while continuously enhancing the employee experience. Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
Employee Lifecycle Management
* Support the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, changes and off‑boarding.
HR Advisory & Case Management
* Provide first‑line advisory support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and processes.
Employee Experience & Service Delivery
* Deliver a responsive, high‑quality HR service.
Policy & Compliance
* Support the implementation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring all activities are compliant.
Systems, Data & Reporting
* Use HR systems to manage employee data, workflows and case tracking.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, reduce inefficiencies and enhance service delivery.
Key Skills And Experience
* Brings hands‑on experience from an HR Operations, Shared Services or advisory environment, with a strong understanding of delivering efficient, high‑quality people services.
* Demonstrable experience supporting HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to off‑boarding.
* Practical experience applying UK employment law and HR best practice in a workplace setting; exposure to US employment practices would be advantageous.
* Experience building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, providing clear guidance and support on people‑related matters.
* Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining organisation and delivering to deadlines.
* Experience working with HR data and processes where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
* Hands‑on experience using HR systems (e.g. HiBob, Workday, SAP, Oracle), with involvement in maintaining, improving or developing system functionality and processes.
* Experience supporting or coordinating UK immigration processes and applying relevant legislation, including handling sensitive or complex cases appropriately.
