Join to apply for the Occupational Therapist role at Saarthy Travel Solutions.
This role is based in Forest & Tewkesbury, Newent, Staunton Locality and is offered on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in patients' homes with a variety of health conditions, including palliative care, complex neurology, long-term conditions, stroke, and frailty.
* Contribute to the Integrated Community Team (ICT) alongside Occupational Therapists, Community Nurses, Physiotherapists, and Home First/Reablement services.
* Promote a rehabilitation, person-led approach to recovery and self-management to deliver care close to home and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
* Promote personalised care, identify what matters to patients, and support independence and goal attainment.
* Complete statutory and mandatory training and undertake physical interventions as required; fitness for physical intervention assessed by Occupational Health.
* Maintain HCPC registration and participate in the Trust’s preceptorship and professional development programs, including opportunities for further study.
* Meet driving requirements: valid UK driving licence and use of own transport for business purposes; Lease Car Scheme and Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme available for qualifying staff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: HCPC registered; Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy; experience in a community setting (desirable).
* Desirable: Current moving and handling training; awareness of the Canadian model of Occupational Performance.
Person Specification
* Essential: UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work.
* Essential: Experience working in a community setting.
* Desirable: Knowledge of the Canadian model of Occupational Performance.
