We are seeking a Sports Facility Assistant to supervise our Sports Facility at Countesswells during evening and weekend sporting events, ensuring a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment for all users, including pupils, parents, teams, coaches, and visitors. This is an ad-hoc position.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
1. Customer Service, specifically acting as the main point of contact for teams, parents, and visitors when on shift, handling general enquiries in person and by phone in a polite and professional manner and dealing with any issues, incidents or complaints promptly and appropriately;
2. Facility Management, specifically opening and closing the pavilion and sports grounds at the start and end of each shift as required, ensuring the floodlights and other essential systems are turned on and off as required, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of communal areas; and
3. Safety and Security, specifically ensuring the premises and ground are safe for users at all times, securing all buildings, gates and equipment after events or training sessions, and monitoring visitor behaviour to promote a respectful and positive environment.
The successful candidate will have experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a sports environment. They should also have a basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
