The role of Policy and Partnership Manager is not a typical policy or public affairs role. You’ll sit at the centre of Lantra’s work with government, industry and partners - shaping how the land‑based and environmental sectors are understood, funded and supported.
This is a role for someone who can turn evidence into influence. You’ll shape credible policy positions, build trusted partnerships and help ensure Lantra’s voice is heard - and acted on - in national conversations about skills and workforce development.

* You’ll help position Lantra as a trusted authority on skills and workforce development
* You’ll build relationships across government, sector bodies and industry leaders
* You’ll have a visible role in shaping UK-wide conversations on workforce and skills
If you’re looking for a step up into a role with real scope and external profile, this is it.
What you’ll do
* Lead the development of clear, evidence-led positions on key policy issues
* Build and maintain credible relationships with government and sector stakeholders
* Translate research and intelligence into influencing strategies that drive tangible impact
* Identify where Lantra can shape national debate and policy direction
* Monitor relevant policy, regulatory and funding developments and turn them into practical insight and action
The role in context
* Reports to: Director of Policy, Research & External Relations
* Works closely with: Government contacts, sector partners, internal research and communications teams
* Focus: Influence, partnerships and policy positioning
You might be…
* A Senior Policy Advisor looking for more ownership and external profile
* Working in a membership body, ALB or sector organisation and ready for broader influence

What you’ll bring
* Strong experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement or external affairs
* Ability to develop credible, evidence-based insights and positions
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and partners
* A track record of turning information into clear messages and influence An interest in skills, workforce development or land-based sectors
You don’t need to tick every box - but you do need the judgement and curiosity to operate in a role where priorities can shift quickly.
