Sales Negotiator Building Materials industry We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Sales Negotiator to join their busy and growing internal sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships, driving sales activity, and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting internal and external sales teams to meet and exceed targets. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with internal and external sales teams to achieve agreed sales targets. Manage day-to-day sales administration, including quotations, maintaining price lists, and updating customer details. Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing accurate and timely information. Follow up on leads and opportunities from various sources, including external sales, suppliers, and market intelligence. Engage in proactive outreach and cold calling to both existing and potential customers. Support the coordination of customer meetings alongside management and external sales staff (approximately once per month). Monitor and report on sales performance and activity, providing updates to management. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience. Provide holiday cover for internal sales staff as required (with advance notice). Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders. Take part in ongoing training to develop product knowledge and sales skills. Desirable Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a sales or sales support role, ideally within a similar industry or fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident, professional approach. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience using CRM systems or sales administration software. A proactive, target-driven attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. Comfortable with cold calling and generating new business opportunities.
