A thriving specialist secondary school in Stockport is seeking a dedicated and engaging SEN Teacher to join their supportive teaching team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-resourced school that prioritises both student progress and staff wellbeing.
SEN Teacher – Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons in core subjects (English, Maths, or Science) to students across Key Stages 3–5
Support students with a range of additional learning needs and behavioural challenges
Act as a Personal Tutor to students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Create and adapt lesson plans in line with curriculum standards and individual needs
Collaborate closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and wider school staff
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
A subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science is desirable
Previous experience working with SEN learners (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, etc.)
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
