Aftercare Engineer Automation 37-Hour Week with Early Friday Finish

We’re looking for a hands‑on Aftercare Engineer with a solid grounding in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally gained in a manufacturing setting. This is not just a support role. It’s a chance to become a trusted technical advisor to international clients, helping them get the most out of complex machinery through upgrades, refurbishments, and tailored solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Act as the primary contact for global customers, from initial enquiry to final proposal.
* Diagnose issues, identify spare parts, and provide clear, accurate technical documentation.
* Spot opportunities for upgrades, repairs, and modpacks, and convert them into revenue.
* Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate terms that benefit both the customer and the business.
* Manage small‑to‑medium projects, coordinating resources and timelines.
* Maintain accurate records in Epicor and Salesforce to ensure smooth internal processes.
* Collaborate with the Head of Commercial to grow Aftercare services.
* Support procurement by sourcing components that protect and improve margins.
What You’ll Bring
Must‑Have:
* Mechanical or electrical engineering background.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
* Previous experience in Aftercare or technical customer support.
Nice‑to‑Have
* Knowledge of international import/export processes.
* CAD familiarity.
* Experience in the manufacturing sector.
* Additional language skills, especially French or Spanish.
