Darkside Developments are a multiple Championship winning race team competing in the Club Enduro 2hr and the Roadsports Championships. We are the only team in the UK to develop, build and race a team of Diesel race cars that are racing with, and beating their petrol competitors on a regular basis. You will join a young team of enthusiastic people who want to keep pushing the boundaries of diesel performance while evaluating the performance of company developed products and software. About the role; Build, maintain, service and support our Diesel Race Cars Manage other team members, workshop and trackside Ensure all cars are built to the same standards and specifications according to existing documentation Working to tight timelines to ensure vehicles are ready for each race / event Keep accurate records for the operation of the race car including parts fitted and replaced during events Attend and support all race and test events Pre and Post race truck and equipment organisation Fulfil any other responsibilities that are related to the job Liaise with other departments Your Skills and Abilities; Motorsport engineering / experience working in race teams essential BMW / VAG experience would be beneficial Good communication skills working in a team Creative thinking and problem solving Self-esteem, motivation, and goal setting Organisational effectiveness and leadership Good timekeeping General good upkeep in appearance and cleanliness.
