Summary
At Haven House Children's Hospice, we are dedicated to providing the very best care for seriously ill and life-limited children, young people, and their families. We believe every moment matters. From birth, through childhood and into adolescence, our care supports families in local communities facing the most difficult challenges. When you join our team, whatever your role, your part of a community that makes a profound difference every day.
We are currently recruiting for a Youth & Adolescent Support Worker to join our enriched support team. This isn't just a job—it's a chance to blend multiple specialist roles into one rewarding purpose. As part of this role, you'll be more than a youth worker: you'll be a Child's Voice Advocate, ensuring young people are heard; a Play & Activities Assistant, offering spaces for joy and connection; a Teenage & Transition Link Worker, guiding young people through critical changes; and a Sibling Assistant, recognising and supporting the needs of siblings.
If you are someone who thrives on creativity, empathy, teamwork, and a passion for improving children's quality of life, this role offers you pathways to use a wide skill set. You'll work closely with children, young people, families, clinical colleagues, and external partners to bridge gaps in care, facilitate play, and support transitions. At Haven House, you'll find a workplace dedicated not only to specialist palliative care, but also to innovation, compassionate leadership, and making every child's voice heard.
This role is based at our beautiful woodland hospice in Woodford Green, North East London, offering free parking and easy access from the Central line.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all our staff to share this commitment. Employment is subject to receipt of satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
