Concerns over a building’s energy use and carbon footprint has empowered our engineers to seek new and exciting ways to challenge design.Buildings are the largest energy consumer and contributor to CO2emissions globally, a climate emergency condition that we take very seriously in our design ethos.Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be required to:Primary ResponsibilitiesProject RoleAbility to supervise a small team of engineers and techniciansRole will normally be as Project Engineer on projects of various sizesOn major/more complex projects could take the role of Design EngineerBe responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project ManagerCore responsibilities for the task include:Task delivery to agreed deadline and feeTask profitabilityTask qualityPresent to ClientsConstruct project teams from internal and external resourcesProcure project resourcesCompany RoleHave an understanding of our Business planHave an understanding of company financial indicatorsContribute to the development of company procedures by taking an active role in task groupsAttend team meetings and play an active role in the development of procedures within your teamApply policies relating to health & safety, quality and training.Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a projectDemonstrates all round technical competenceHave knowledge of concept design, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessmentHave knowledge of analytical conceptsHave knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D workingBusiness DevelopmentStarting to develop network of contactsKey Skills/ExperienceQualificationsMinimum five years experienceChartered status preferredAble to represent the practice at project levelDemonstrate ability to take responsibility for projectsAbility to manage the design and construction stages of a projectCompany benefits includeAnnual Leave of 20 days plus bank holidaysThree days of additional holiday at Christmas.
