Position: Technical Officer
Location: Burnley - NW
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 DOE

As a member of the Assets Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to uphold decent homes standards and contribute to our commitment to achieving future net-zero carbon targets.
What You'll Do
In this dynamic role, you will:
* Conduct stock condition surveys to inform our long-term asset management strategy.
* Complete technical surveys focusing on damp, mould, roofing, and more, providing essential data for our maintenance programmes.
* Liaise with contractors to ensure work is executed to a high standard while maintaining customer satisfaction.
* Undertake pre and post inspections to ensure all projects meet quality standards and timelines.
* Assist in managing planned improvement programmes, ensuring successful delivery and compliance with health and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:
* Qualifications:
- CSTDB (Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings) or CSDB (Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings) - or experience
- ONC or NVQ in a construction-related field
- BOHS P402 certification is desirable
* Experience:
- Proven background in building surveying, construction, and defects analysis
- Experience in a customer-focused social housing environment
- Familiarity with preparing schedules of work and specifications
- Experience with asbestos survey re-inspections and energy efficiency works
* Skills:
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety standards
- Proficient IT skills, including Word, Excel, and project management applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
