Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN School
Enfield, North London
Full-Time, Long-Term
Up to £650 per week | Immediate Start

The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

* Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
* Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them regulate emotions and engage positively in learning
* Work closely with teachers and behaviour mentors to implement personalised behaviour and support plans
* Encourage and guide pupils through moments of frustration or anxiety, helping them develop coping and social skills
* Assist with classroom routines, lesson activities, and transitions throughout the school day
* Foster a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment where every student feels valued and understood

Person Specification

* A degree in Psychology, Education, Criminology, or a related field (essential)
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour, SEN, or SEMH (desirable but not essential)
* Calm, patient, and resilient with a positive and empathetic approach
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and reach their potential
