Position Overview
The ViiV commercial Pipeline and Market Readiness Lead, Europe & International, is responsible for providing the strategic input from the regional perspective into the Early Commercialisation teams responsible for the pipeline assets (2028-2031 launches). It is also responsible for helping identify the market shaping needs and coordinate the market preparation, in collaboration with LOCs teams, for the launch of the next wave or pipeline assets (2028).
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Strategy and Management:
1. Gather data and insights in order to provide input to the ECT to develop and implement competitive strategic plans for the commercialization of pipeline products in Europe and international markets.
2. Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment on product development and commercialization timelines.
3. Evaluate and prioritize pipeline opportunities based on market potential, competitive landscape, and business objectives.
Market Entry and Launch Planning:
4. Conduct research and engage with EEs to identify market and account development needs, in collaboration with local teams.
5. Lead the planning and execution of market shaping activities ahead of launch and market readiness for the launches in Europe and International markets, ensuring successful market entry and uptake (care pathways, EE development/advocacy strategies, communication strategies, policy shaping)
6. Support the Global strategy translation to each LOCs in the region to ensure development of comprehensive launch plans, including market analysis, positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies.
7. Work closely with medical and market access to coordinate cross-functional pipeline teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment on activities.
Market Insights and Competitive Intelligence:
8. Utilize market research and competitive intelligence to inform pipeline and portfolio strategies.
9. Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to anticipate and respond to market dynamics.
10. Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Stakeholder Engagement:
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including R&D, regulatory, medical affairs, market access and commercial teams with strong experience and influencing skills to facilitate successful project implementation and effective issue resolution
12. Engage with healthcare professionals, payers, and patient advocacy groups to gather insights (where appropriate)
13. Represent ViiV Healthcare in industry forums and conferences to collect insights and enhance the company's presence and reputation.
Financial Management/Compliance:
14. Develop and manage budgets for pipeline and portfolio activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
15. Represent the regional view into the build-up of LRF.
16. Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with pipeline and portfolio management.
17. Ensuring that all commercial activities and interactions comply with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and company policies.

Hybrid working applies to this role and it is based at our UK HQ, Central London. (2/3 days a week onsite). Expect regular collaboration with European country teams and global colleagues.
Basic Qualifications and Experience
18. Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on commercial strategy, launch and portfolio management
19. Extensive strategic experience, a proven track record of successful product launches and lifecycle management.
20. Strong understanding of the EU & International regional healthcare markets.
21. Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
22. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. (multicultural and matrix, this is an individual contributor role)
23. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
24. Ability to travel within the region and internationally as needed.
25. Demonstrated excellence in effective communications and influencing and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management and across many functions
