This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle, from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition, to leading a professional team through planning, obtaining consents, supporting construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is also key.
This role offers ownership of the full development and planning process from concept to completion. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are crucial, as well as the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Note: Internally, this role is called Senior Acquisitions Consultant.
What you'll do
* Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to expand our store network.
* Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence.
* Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to approval and conditions discharge.
* Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
* Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
* Drive the full development and planning process from initial concept to project completion.
* Manage real estate assets, including freehold and leasehold properties.
What you'll need
* A proactive, success-driven attitude.
* Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field.
* Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
* MRICS qualification is preferred.
* Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network.
* Good commercial property and legal knowledge.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Analytical mindset.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
