Behavioural Buddy – SEND Schools
Location: Brighton & Hove
Pay: £340–£360 per week
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday–Friday, Full Time)
DBS Requirement: Child Only Enhanced DBS
Teaching Personnel are working closely with SEND schools across the Brighton & Hove area and are seeking dedicated and resilient individuals to join us as Behavioural Buddies.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support both primary and secondary aged pupils with PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties), helping them to regulate their emotions, engage in learning, and thrive within a structured school environment.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support
Implement effective de-escalation strategies
Support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour positively
Build strong, trusting relationships
Act as a consistent and positive role model within the classroom
Work closely with teaching staff and SEND teams to support individual behaviour plans
We’re Looking For:
Patient, calm, and resilient individuals
Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
Confidence supporting pupils with PMLD
A proactive and nurturing approach
Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
A Child Only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
