This key role involves leading governance, strategic planning, and risk management at one of the UK’s top universities. Location: Aberdeen (Typically, 4 days per week on campus)
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of governance, strategic planning and risk management processes aligned with the University’s objectives.
* Advise the University Court, Senior Governor, and Principal on governance matters and regulatory compliance.
* Balance organisational agility with strong governance and support effective decision-making at all levels.
* Engage regularly with staff, students, and external stakeholders; act as a central figure in the University’s leadership.
* Navigate complex stakeholder environments to contribute to strategy and performance.
Qualifications
* Senior-level experience in large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and regulatory frameworks.
* Higher education experience preferred, but candidates from other sectors with governance and leadership track record are welcome; must understand challenges faced by universities.
