Multi-Trade Operative / Multi-Skilled Engineer (Responsive Repairs)
Salary: £41,000 per annum + company van, fuel card & power tools
Location: Hertfordshire (field-based)

About the Role
A leading property services provider is seeking skilled Multi-Trade Operatives to join their responsive repairs team. This is an excellent opportunity to carry out high-quality maintenance and repair work, helping to maintain safe and comfortable homes for residents.
Working across a variety of domestic properties, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, customer-focused repairs while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Working Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm), plus participation in an out-of-hours rota.

Key Responsibilities
8. Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance in occupied properties
9. Diagnose faults and determine cost-effective repair solutions
10. Complete works to a high standard with minimal disruption to residents
11. Liaise with scheduling teams to maximise productivity
12. Use a PDA/device to receive, update and complete work orders
13. Follow all health & safety and company procedures
14. Participate in an out-of-hours rota
Skills & Experience Required
15. Must specialise in one core trade (e.g. Plumbing, Carpentry, Plastering, Tiling, Bricklaying, Painting & Decorating, or Groundworks/Fencing)
16. Competent in at least one additional trade, with ability to carry out other trades to a good standard
17. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
18. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
19. Experience using handheld/PDA devices for job management
20. Relevant qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)
Additional Requirements
21. Full UK driving licence
22. Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check (if required)
