About the Role You’ll play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential settings across Abingdon. Every day, you’ll help create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where each individual is encouraged to grow in confidence and independence. What You’ll Be Doing • Offering hands-on support with daily routines, personal care, and activities. • Encouraging life skills and promoting independence tailored to each young person’s needs. • Working closely with a dedicated team to maintain a warm, structured, and nurturing environment. • Following personalised care plans and safeguarding procedures. • Keeping clear, accurate records to support each individual’s progress and safety. What We’re Looking For • Experience supporting children or young people with learning differences and autism is a bonus—but not essential. • A calm, compassionate, and reliable approach. • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including days and nights. • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset. • A current DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one). • A genuine passion for supporting others.
