An exciting opportunity has arisen within the HR Services team located in Overline House, Southampton. Working as an HR Co-ordinator, this role provides comprehensive HR administrative support to a range of stakeholders, in accordance with people management policies, conditions of service, collective agreements, regulatory frameworks, and management information.
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate a positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to their work, with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload. Being a team player and an effective communicator are essential qualities for this role.
As an HR Co-ordinator, you will work alongside HR Business Partners, arranging formal meetings, preparing hearing documentation, note-taking, and updating activity trackers and case summary records. You should be a strong, influential communicator, capable of responding to enquiries of varying complexity and providing accurate, timely information.
Minimum requirements include:
1. Proven experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
2. Previous experience as an HR administrator is advantageous.
3. A flexible approach to completing daily volume filing and post logging.
4. Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Conscientiousness and attention to detail, especially in producing formal documentation or minute-taking during meetings.
6. Experience with IT packages, including Microsoft Office.
7. Qualified or part-qualified training in people management or development is a plus.
About the location:
Overline House is conveniently situated overlooking Southampton Central Station, accessible by public transport. The station is close to West Quay, a hub for retailers and restaurants, and offers excellent links to London, coastal areas, and the Isle of Wight.
Working pattern:
37 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday, during office hours.
Contract: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
