Our Law firm client is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to support the implementation of varied IT projects across our offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (EMEA). The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to analyse and implement applications that support core business processes. The Lead Business Analyst will oversee a team of Business Analysts, working alongside/supporting them to ensure the successful delivery of our annual IT change portfolio. Additionally, the team will provide ad hoc analytical support for strategic decision-making, including the development of business cases and financial data models.
What you will be doing
1. Map as-is and to-be business processes, Create business requirements documentation
2. Create business cases by assessing the cost/effort and value
3. Model different scenarios based on potential decision paths
4. Assess various vendor solutions and their applicability to the use case making impartial data led rmendations
5. Manage new software requests to IT and ensuring the appropriate delivery teams are involved
6. Provide support to Business Analysts and ensure there is consistency in the team’s output
7. Collaborate with other team leads to prioritise workload
8. Support and mentor BA through apprenticeship programme and adopt new technology to enhance the BA team
9. Understand industry evolutions and bring new ideas to the wider team
10. Identify new ways the BA team can enhance the IT departments ability to deliver projects and/or service provided to the wider business
What you will need
11. Experience leading functional technology teams, especially in business analysis
12. Strong and articulatemunication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders
13. Good problem solver with a logical and methodical approach
14. Self-motivated learner that is curious to expand their own knowledge
15. Experience in a large-scale IT projects including systems integration and change management
16. Understanding of project management methodologies, architectural frameworks and key ITIL disciplines
17. Experience with data modelling tools such as PowerBI
18. Experience with business process design and notation tools such as BPMN or UML
19. Experience in a legal or professional services practice (desirable)
What to do nextThis role is paying £400 - £450 per day inside Ir35, on a 3–6-month contract. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days required in the Newcastle office.
