Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in our vibrant café - Tea and The Gang NI.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every customer has an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing outstanding service to our guests.
Working 2-3 days per week, including both weekdays and weekends.
Applicants must be 17+ as weekday availability is required
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
* Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
* Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards during service.
* Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
* Uphold all food handling practices in compliance with health regulations.
* Engage in sales activities by promoting menu items and upselling products when appropriate.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
* Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
* Experience in food service or the food industry is an advantage.
* Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; familiarity with retail math is beneficial.
* Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
